Animal Instincts vs. Civilized Society

For the next little while I'll be posting up updates about our house hunt, but not dedicate a whole blog post to it.

Sometimes Kayla can be a real menace.  I think she's just got so much energy, she needs some sort of outlet.  Here are some ways in which she does that:

This is Kayla trying to help Brandon clean up the family room...

Doing laundry...

And cleaning up messes.

Sometimes, though, she can act like a real lady.  Don't believe me?

Just look at that pose! So cute! Or...

Pinky's up!

But if that still doesn't prove it, here's one to illustrate that she really is meant to be in today's world:

But today's post isn't just about Kayla.  Today is Father's Day, so I want to talk a little about Brandon.  He just finished up his last class for school, so he is officially done!  He decided he won't be Walking in August, so we should be getting his diploma in the mail soonish.

It was also Brandon's first Father's Day, and I gotta say that he's one proud daddy.  He's such a good father.  He watches Kayla every morning so I can go to work.  He loves to play with her and make her laugh.  I fully believe she is a Daddy's Girl, and I think she will always be one.  Who wouldn't be with the kind of father she has?  He's amazing!

I was a Daddy's Girl, too.  My dad's been gone for 6 years now, but I still remember the good times we had together, all the precious moments I'll never forget.  I will miss him till the day I die.  I'm sad that Kayla won't get the chance to know him as she grows up, but she has another awesome grandfather that will dote on her, I'm sure.  We have an amazing family, and I don't want Kayla to miss out on any of it.

So Happy Father's Day to all those Daddies out there.  You're awesome!
